The business move could mark the turnaround for a beleaguered American industry that has struggled over the last century amid accusations of scandal, price-fixing, strong-arm labor tactics and general debauchery. Chris Fisher, CEO and President of VirtualChris, N.A. could not be contacted for comment during his fifth day of SEC testimony. When reached by satellite phone during his recent attempt to become the first man to single-handedly balloon the entire course of the Pecos River in the nude, Matt Bettis, the reclusive exhibitionist and majority shareholder of Bettis Corp said, “Huh? What? Christ, I thought we sold that dog of a company.” Bettis would comment no further and refused all questions not concerning his self-claimed crusade to have the entire Moderator staff of a highly popular industry Internet forum, as he put it, “sacked like so many Russet potatoes.” Industry analysts are hopeful that the announcement will boost lagging stock prices, but are holding off on any firm predictions.
