This is the official (not like there is an unofficial) blog for VirtualCymbals.com. We specialize in hand hammered cymbals and other gear for discriminating drummers - from pro’s, to students, and everyone in-between.
Front Range Bronze carries the largest selection of Dream cymbals anywhere, all with soundfiles, and now video clips. Dream cymbals are a line of hand-crafted instruments from Wuhan, China, that we here at Front Range Bronze feel come remarkably close to THAT sound. It’s my opinion that Dream cymbalsmiths have taken the best characteristics of increasingly expensive vintage K Istanbul and Avedis Zildjian cymbals from the 1940’s & 1950’s to create responsive, high-quality plates, at a very inexpensive price.
We are now excited to begin to stock Bosphorus plates. Bosphorus cymbals are hand crafted - the old-school way - in Istanbul Turkey. The ovens are wood fired, nothing is computer guided, all the hammering is done by hand. Bosphorus craftsman tap centuries of cymbal making to create the Gold Standard of Turkish-style cymbals.
And of course, we design, distribute, and sell Superior Cymbal Racks cymbal racks as a kit that we will deliver to your door, complete with all the tools needed for assembly. These racks are designed in the spirit of inexpensive furniture that you would purchase from someplace like IKEA. Each rack is handmade in northern Wisconsin in the wild North Woods by Lake Superior. Given the cost of CD and other storage solutions, Superior Percussion racks are relatively inexpensive – especially considering that they are hand-made in the USA.
